Barra Bike Hire - The Process

18 May 2017

I loved working with the good folks at Barra Bike Hire to create a footer illustration for their website. In this blog, I'm going to briefly outline the process I like to follow with clients and show you some detail shots of the illustration.

Once the comission has been accepted, I'll begin by drafting several rough sketches for the clients approval. Here's the rough that they selected.

Once the rough artwork has been approved, I work up the next stage of the artwork in Adobe Illustrator. As the illustration was part of a re-brand, the clients didn't yet have a colour palette. Their only specification was 'bright'. I presented some, very bright, colour options to them for approval.

After a bit of back and forth, we arrived at the chosen palette and the final image.

Barra Bike Hire were great to work with, and I'm looking forward to hiring a bike from them one day.

Make sure you check out the website design and logo I've did for Barra Bike Hire in my portfolio.
